Civil Protection services reported the poisoning of five people by carbon monoxide gas in the province of Saida.
According to a statement from the Civil Protection, its units intervened at 1:05 PM to provide emergency assistance to a family suffering from carbon monoxide asphyxiation emitted from a heater in the 20 Dwellings neighborhood, Bourached village, in the municipality of Sidi Ahmed, Ain El Hadjar district.
The incident resulted in five people suffering from breathing difficulties. They were treated and transported to the local hospital, the same source added.
