The Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrifet, presided over the commemoration of the double anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers and the nationalization of hydrocarbons (February 24, 1956 – 1971) on Tuesday at the National Museum of the Mujahideen.
In his speech on the occasion, the Minister stated that this double anniversary represents “milestones in our glorious history, through which we confirm that Algeria was and remains a stronghold for independent decision-making and a symbol of sovereignty, from reclaiming the land with blood and martyrdom to reclaiming wealth with knowledge and will.”
He added that today, Algeria “continues, through its loyal men and women, to write its history with confidence, prioritizing the service of the nation and its citizens, and that sovereignty of decision is the sole guarantor of our desired renaissance, in fulfillment of the sacred covenant and the strong bond with the righteous martyrs.”
Tachrifet emphasized that “Algeria today, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is moving steadily along that righteous path, faithful to the principles of sovereignty, and confident in the potential of its righteous daughters and sons, as well as the capabilities of its ambitious youth. The major strategic achievements we are witnessing are a living embodiment of that spirit.”
He concluded by saying: “As we celebrate the will for liberation and the battle of construction, I emphasize that the responsibility of the rising generations today lies in drawing inspiration from the values of loyalty to the martyrs’ covenant and transforming them into a force of will in the fields of construction.”
