Ministerial Delegation in Tiaret to Follow Up on Housing Units Damaged by Cracks

The Director General of Housing, accompanied by the Director General of the National Agency for Technical Control of Construction, conducted a working visit to the province of Tiaret to follow up on the status of housing units where damage and cracks were recorded on the facades due to natural factors. This visit was carried out in implementation of instructions from the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City.

The visit began with a working session chaired by the Wali of the province, attended by various stakeholders, including directors and representatives of the National Housing and Construction Laboratory and engineering consultancy firms. The session evaluated the implementation of ministerial instructions and measures taken to rehabilitate the housing units that were subject to an inspection by ministerial services in late December 2024, which was followed by a field visit to these sites.

Following the working session, the ministerial delegation inspected the housing units. The Director General of Housing requested the Director General of the Office of Real Estate Promotion and Management to conduct periodic maintenance for the affected buildings and neighboring structures. He also emphasized the need to accelerate the completion of in-depth expertise and technical soil studies to prepare for launching tenders and selecting construction companies, given the urgent nature of the operation.
