Following Success in Europe, Energoinvest Chooses Algeria to Localize Heavy Industries

In a move confirming the growing attractiveness of the investment climate in Algeria, the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency received a high-level delegation of senior businessmen from the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss the implementation of advanced technology industrial and energy projects. The delegation includes leaders of two major companies: Energoinvest, a leader in energy engineering, and HIFA-OIL, a major distributor of petroleum products. The visit aims to explore partnership opportunities based on a “win-win” principle and to localize strategic industries that enhance national integration capabilities and increase local content in the energy and electrical industry sectors.

Through these discussions, Energoinvest seeks to establish an advanced production unit in Algeria for manufacturing high-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, and their components, with a full commitment to transferring expertise and technical knowledge to Algerian operators. This step is part of the company’s strategy to enter the African market through Algeria after its success in European markets. In parallel, HIFA-OIL is exploring the possibility of launching petroleum product projects that align with the growing needs of the national market, with technical meetings scheduled with the Sonatrach group to discuss cooperation prospects in this vital field, reflecting significant international confidence in the stability and growth of the Algerian economy.

For its part, the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency confirmed its full readiness to support Bosnian investors throughout all stages of their projects, highlighting the various tax benefits, incentives, and advantages related to economic real estate guaranteed by the new law. This strategic direction confirms Algeria’s ambition to transform into a regional industrial and energy hub by attracting investments that do not only inject capital but also actively contribute to developing value chains and creating high-quality job opportunities for Algerian youth, strengthening the country’s position as a vital center for exchanging expertise and technologies between the Mediterranean and the African continent.
