The Embassy of Algeria in Italy, Malta, and San Marino announced on Wednesday the inauguration of an Arabic language department for the children of the Algerian community residing in Italy. The opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM at the headquarters of the embassy’s consular branch, located at Via Barnaba Oriani, 26, Rome.
According to a statement, this initiative aims primarily to consolidate the values of national identity and Algerian culture, while strengthening the bonds between the younger generation and their homeland. It also seeks to instill a spirit of affection and enhance solidarity and brotherhood among all members of the Algerian community.
Following the cultural event, a collective Iftar will be organized for students attending Sapienza and Tuscia universities, as well as members of the Algerian community living in Rome and its surrounding areas.
Prior to the Ramadan Iftar, a meeting will be held between embassy members, chaired by the Ambassador of Algeria to Italy, Malta, and San Marino, and the Algerian students and community members attending the event. The meeting will discuss various issues of concern, listen to their views, and seek optimal solutions to their problems.
The embassy invited Algerian citizens wishing to enroll their children in the Arabic language department to contact the embassy’s consular services as soon as possible by sending an email to s.consulaire@algerianembassy.it, starting from the date of this announcement.
