An executive decree has been published in Issue No. 06 of the Official Gazette, defining the model basic law for public institutions of a scientific and technological nature.
For the first time, the law opens the way for research professors of various categories and students to sell their patents and exploit them for financial compensation.
The law clarifies the processes for distributing financial revenues in varying proportions among the parties involved in research work carried out by research professors, students, as well as agents and interns.
Higher education and scientific research institutions, as well as professional environment institutions that host and support research activities and patented works with their resources, will receive a percentage of the sales proceeds.
