International goalkeeper Rais Wahab M’Bolhi announced his retirement from football on Wednesday night after a career spanning 21 years. The decision follows two short stints with CR Belouizdad and ES Mostaganem.
During his illustrious career, M’Bolhi played for 18 clubs across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa. He also defended the goal for the Algerian national team in 96 international matches, keeping 40 clean sheets.
According to media sources, M’Bolhi plans to start a new chapter as a goalkeeper coach after obtaining the necessary certifications.
