Ooredoo Algeria organized its solidarity commitment yesterday, Thursday, through the “Iftar Box” initiative for the second consecutive year, in partnership with the National Association for Patient Assistance “Win Nelka.” According to a statement from Ooredoo, the initiative aims to provide daily hot ready-to-eat meals throughout the holy month for fasting travelers and those in need. The Ooredoo restaurant in Ouled Fayet hosts the preparation and distribution process, where volunteers and association members work together to prepare complete boxes that allow beneficiaries to break their fast in a dignified atmosphere.
Based on the values of solidarity and mutual aid embodied by the holy month of Ramadan, and on the occasion of the seventh day of this holy month, the General Manager of Ooredoo Algeria, Roni Tohme, along with the President of the “Win Nelka” association, Karim Ibachiren, actively participated with volunteers in preparing the Iftar boxes intended for the needy and travelers, emphasizing through their presence the importance of the spirit of sharing and collective commitment.
This operation is subject to strict hygiene and food safety procedures, as meals are prepared daily by the “Win Nelka” association in a partner restaurant laboratory before being transported to the Ooredoo headquarters, where the process of preparing and packaging the boxes is completed before distribution, ensuring quality, safety, and respect for deadlines.
On this occasion, the General Manager of Ooredoo Algeria, Roni Tohme, stated: “The Iftar Box initiative practically embodies the values of solidarity that characterize the month of Ramadan and the spirit of sharing adopted by Ooredoo. We are proud to renew our partnership with the ‘Win Nelka’ association to provide tangible support to fasting people and those in need.”
For his part, the President of the “Win Nelka” association, Karim Ibachiren, confirmed that “the month of Ramadan constitutes a special opportunity to strengthen human bonds and extend a helping hand to those in most need. Thanks to the continuous support of our partner Ooredoo, which mobilized its employees and opened the doors of its restaurant to host this operation, we are able to provide hot meals daily to a significant number of beneficiaries, helping them break their fast in the best conditions.”
