Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Kamel Baddari, alongside Minister of Finance Abdelkrim Bouzred, presided over a ceremony on Monday to grant Algeria’s first accreditation for a university-based venture capital investment company to the Financial Investment Company of the University of Algiers 3.
In his speech on the occasion, Baddari emphasized that granting this accreditation will strengthen the national economy and transform the university from a recipient into an active player in financial engineering. He added that the university will also become a locomotive for economic development driven by scientific research and innovation.
For his part, Minister of Finance Abdelkrim Bouzred praised the university’s entry into the economic field through this accreditation, which involves establishing investment companies via the stock exchange, noting that it will provide a boost to creativity and initiative.
