The Ministry of Interior stated that local authorities across the country’s provinces are continuing their efforts to monitor projects for the construction of educational institutions. This aims to ensure the full readiness of educational facilities in anticipation of the 2026/2027 school year.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, this process, which follows the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and National Planning, Said Sayoud, includes organizing periodic field visits and holding coordination meetings. These activities aim to monitor the progress of construction for school complexes, middle schools, and high schools in various neighborhoods and new residential clusters, particularly those scheduled to enter service during the next school season.
This initiative aims to accommodate the recorded increase in the number of students and ensure their balanced distribution across educational institutions. This will help alleviate pressure on classrooms and improve schooling conditions.
The Ministry emphasized the necessity of adhering to completion deadlines, respecting applicable technical standards, and ensuring the quality of work. It also stressed the need to accelerate the furnishing of new educational institutions with school furniture and necessary pedagogical equipment.
