Five people were killed and 10 others injured, according to a preliminary toll, following a traffic accident in Touggourt Province.
Civil Protection reported that its units intervened at 1:06 PM following a collision between a semi-trailer truck and a passenger bus operating on the Hassi Messaoud-Touggourt line. The accident occurred on National Road No. 03, in the municipality and district of Temacine.
The accident resulted in the death of five people at the scene and injuries to seven others, who received first aid and were transported to the local hospital. Civil Protection services deployed an intervention truck and six ambulances for the operation, which is currently ongoing.
