The National Meteorological Office has warned of heavy thunderstorms and strong winds, occasionally accompanied by sandstorms, across several provinces of the country.
A weather alert from the same services reported thunderstorms with rainfall amounts reaching 40 mm until 9:00 PM tonight in the provinces of Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, Mascara, and Relizane.
The provinces of Naama and El Bayadh will also experience thunderstorms with rainfall exceeding 50 mm, starting from 9:00 AM today and continuing until 3:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday.
In another alert, the meteorological office warned of thunderstorms with rainfall reaching 40 mm in the provinces of Chlef, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Ain Defla, Medea, and Blida, continuing until 3:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday.
The office also warned of significant thunderstorms with rainfall reaching 40 mm starting from 9:00 PM tonight and continuing until 11:00 PM on Wednesday in the province of Bechar.
