Oil prices fell by 9 percent on Tuesday, after recording their highest level in more than three years in the previous session. Brent crude futures fell by more than $9 to $89.58 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell by $9 to reach $85.77.
Oil prices had jumped to more than $100 per barrel on Monday, reaching session highs of $119.50 for Brent crude and $119.48 for WTI, the highest levels since mid-2022.
