Prime Minister Saifi Gharib has appointed Kamal Oukaci as Director General of the National Office of Statistics.
Professor Kamal Oukaci holds a PhD in Economic Sciences and previously served as a research professor at the Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences at the University of Bejaia.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to renew the vision for the statistical system in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, noting that this system must be integrated with modern technologies for producing, processing, and utilizing statistics.
He also highlighted the necessity of a regional organization for the national statistical system and its interoperability to ensure the optimal use of data in implementing public policies.
