Weather Fluctuations: 8 People Rescued and Extensive Civil Protection Interventions

The General Directorate of Civil Protection has released a report on the general situation following the weather fluctuations experienced across several provinces, valid until 07:00 AM this Thursday.

In the municipality of Abadla, Bechar province, Civil Protection teams intervened due to the rising water levels of Wadi Safaya. Three people were rescued from a car trapped by the floodwaters on National Road No. 06.

In the municipality of Magrane, El Oued province, Civil Protection personnel worked to pump out accumulated rainwater from a house on Batah Amara Street in the city center.

In the municipality of Debila, rainwater was pumped from three houses in the neighborhoods of Al-Kothbane, Houari Boumediene, Al-Assil, and February 18. Water was also cleared from the front of the Social Security office.

In the municipality of Sidi Aoun, rainwater was pumped from a house in the city center. Additionally, interventions were carried out to clear water from a house in the Al-Wifaq neighborhood and a gas station in the municipality of Hassi Khalifa.

In Ouargla province, specifically in the municipality of Hassi Ben Abdallah, rainwater was pumped from public roads in the Reghi Kouider neighborhood.

In the municipality of El Attef, Ghardaia province, a car carrying five people that was trapped by accumulated rainwater on Road No. 105 was successfully extracted without any casualties.

In the municipality of Guerrara, Civil Protection units intervened to remove an overturned truck from a watercourse on National Road No. 124. The same source also reported a rise in the water level of Wadi Hawd Hisan.
