Joint detachments of the People’s National Army eliminated four terrorists and recovered four Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, a significant amount of ammunition, and other items during an ambush in the Tebessa military sector of the Fifth Military Region on Thursday night.
According to an official statement, the operation was carried out in implementation of instructions from the High Command of the People’s National Army regarding the provision of security and tranquility, particularly during the holy month. Following up on field operations in the fight against terrorism and through the optimal use of information provided by army security services, joint detachments of the People’s National Army managed, on the night of Thursday, March 12, 2026, to eliminate four terrorists and recover four Kalashnikov-type submachine guns and a significant quantity of ammunition following an ambush in the Tebessa military sector.
The statement also noted that this operation follows a qualitative operation carried out on March 1, 2026, in the Zeddine forest in the Ain Defla military sector of the First Military Region, which resulted in the elimination of two terrorists and the recovery of two Kalashnikov-type submachine guns and a quantity of ammunition.
These two operations, carried out during this holy month, confirm the constant vigilance and determination of the People’s National Army units to track down the remnants of these criminals under all circumstances and occasions until their final elimination.
