The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, oversaw the installation of the new composition of the National Committee for granting labels for “Innovative Project,” “Startup,” “Business Incubator,” and “Accelerator” on Saturday in Algiers. This step comes as part of the renewal of the committee’s membership, according to a ministry statement.
The ministry emphasized that this committee serves as the “beating heart of the startup ecosystem in Algeria” by reviewing all four categories of label applications, in addition to evaluating launch and expansion needs and import programs.
During the installation ceremony, Chamseddine Bemoussat, the representative of the Minister in charge of startups, was appointed as the new chairman of the committee. Several new members representing various ministerial sectors and national experts also joined.
This renewal aims to enhance the committee’s effectiveness and consolidate the principles of transparency and governance in the labeling process, ensuring an objective and accurate evaluation of projects and initiatives. It also aims to support the innovation ecosystem and encourage entrepreneurial initiatives and value-added projects, contributing to economic development and strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy.
