Civil Protection services intervened today, Saturday, at 13:33, following the collapse of the front facade of a building consisting of a ground floor and two upper floors. The incident occurred at the Laaqiba Belouizdad market in the Sidi M’Hamed municipality and district of Algiers.
Two people who were trapped inside the building were rescued and are reported to be in good health. Additionally, a car parked beneath the building was crushed, though no passengers were inside at the time.
Civil Protection services deployed a rescue truck and two ambulances for the operation.
