Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call today, Monday, from his French counterpart, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot.
According to a ministry statement, the two ministers reviewed the state of bilateral relations between the two countries and the available prospects for them.
The two parties also exchanged views on the situation in the Sahel-Saharan region, as well as developments related to the settlement process of the Western Sahara issue.
On another note, the two ministers also addressed the dangerous developments in the Middle East and their grave consequences at the regional and international levels.
In this context, particular focus was placed on the situation in Lebanon, as it constitutes a source of common concern for both countries.
