The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation has established a special program to ensure a regular supply of essential goods and services to citizens for the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In a statement released on Monday, the ministry revealed that 2,865 control agents have been deployed across the national territory to monitor the implementation of the duty roster. This program involves 55,743 merchants, including 6,617 in the bakery sector, 30,538 in general food, fruits, and vegetables, 18,042 in various other activities, and 546 production units, which include 154 dairies, 345 mills, and 47 mineral water production units.
The ministry also urged citizens to use the “Mourafaq Com” electronic application to view the list of merchants on duty during the Eid holidays and easily locate them, allowing access to necessary goods and services at the nearest points.
The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation called on all concerned economic operators to contribute effectively to the success of the duty program. At the same time, it reminded them of the obligation to resume commercial activity immediately after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, in accordance with the legal provisions governing holidays during national and religious festivals, to ensure the continuity of market supply and meet citizens’ needs.
The ministry emphasized that its services remain mobilized across various provinces to monitor the implementation of this program and ensure the smooth running of commercial activities during this religious occasion, guaranteeing the provision of goods and services to citizens under the best conditions.
