Our Dear Algeria Faces Challenges of Building Economic Immunity

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized that Algeria faces the challenges of building economic immunity and strengthening its sovereignty shields amidst turbulent regional and international conditions. He stated that the country has defined its path and prioritized strengthening national economic capabilities through major, integrated structural achievements within a multi-front strategic development project.

In a message marking the 64th anniversary of Victory Day, President Tebboune said that this progress is being realized on the ground thanks to sincere national wills and concerted efforts dedicated to protecting the state’s interests and serving the people. He expressed belief in a victorious Algeria with the participation of all, fulfilling the hopes of Algerians. On this occasion, he paid tribute to the souls of the righteous martyrs, renewing the pledge of loyalty to their message.

He added that March 19th marks Victory Day, the day that announced the end of colonial hegemony lasting over 130 years. He described the era as one of unjust settler colonialism, devoid of human values and characterized by killing, destruction, and looting. However, he noted that it faltered before the power of truth and the universal laws that have historically granted victory to those seeking the freedom inherent in human nature.

The President continued by stating that God granted victory to the Algerian people through a glorious revolution led by heroes who believed in either a free and dignified life or death under the banner of martyrdom so that Algeria might live. He noted that the revolution was embraced by a people deeply connected to their land and identity, who persevered from November 1, 1954, until the moment history witnessed a victory achieved through sacrifices, despite widespread destruction and systematic looting. He concluded that a people who endured such suffering carry the trust with full sanctity and continue the journey guided by the message of the martyrs.
