National team coach Vladimir Petkovic announced on Wednesday, during a press conference at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, the list of players selected for the friendly matches against Guatemala and Uruguay. The matches are scheduled to take place on March 27 and 31 in Italy as part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The 27-player squad features several new names, most notably 19-year-old goalkeeper Kylian Belaazoug from Rennes’ second team, Mastil Malvin from Swiss club Stade Nyonnais, and USM Alger defender Achraf Abada. The list also includes Schalke midfielder Adil Aouchiche, Frosinone forward Fares Ghedjemis, Győr striker Nadir Benbouali, and Guingamp player Soheib Naïr.
The goalkeepers selected are Belaazoug, Mandrea, Mastil, and Zidane. The defense includes Abada, Ait-Nouri, Belaid, Belghali, Bensebaini, Dorval, Mandi, and Nair. The midfield consists of Boudaoui, Titraoui, Zerrouki, Aouar, Aouchiche, Chaibi, and Maza, while the forward line features Amoura, Boulbina, Ghedjemis, Hadj Moussa, Mahrez, Benbouali, Gouiri, and Chiakha.
