The Italian government announced on Saturday that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will pay an official visit to Algeria.
According to the agenda of the Chigi Palace, the seat of the Italian government, the Prime Minister’s visit will take place next Wednesday, March 25.
This visit comes in the context of Algeria strengthening its position as a major gas supplier to Italy, especially in light of the shifts in Europe’s energy supply map.
The visit is also expected to include strengthening industrial cooperation, increasing the volume of Italian investments in Algeria, and other cooperation projects.
