The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation recorded the compliance of 55,735 traders with the duty system during the second day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. According to the ministry, only 8 traders out of the 55,743 designated failed to comply with the schedule.
The violations included one milk distributor in the province of Relizane, and bakeries in the provinces of Boumerdes, Tiaret, Chlef, Constantine, and Annaba, in addition to two bakeries in the province of Mila. The control services have initiated the necessary legal measures against the violators in accordance with current legislation and regulations.
Furthermore, the ministry received seven reports through the “Murafeq Com” electronic application regarding the non-compliance of some traders in the provinces of Bouira, Setif, Chlef, and Tebessa. Control teams have begun field verification operations and are taking legal action against those involved.
Data from the electronic application also showed 23,845 searches for on-duty traders, confirming the importance of this digital tool in facilitating citizens’ access to information regarding available points of sale and services. This brings the total number of searches via the application to 60,740 over two days.
