General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, emphasized the necessity of understanding the implications of the rapid geopolitical transformations currently characterizing the international situation.
Speaking during a ceremony at the Ministry of National Defense to exchange greetings for Eid al-Fitr, the General stated that the rapid and dangerous geopolitical shifts in the current international landscape are marked by a return to war, military interventions, the declining influence of multilateral organizations, and the disregard for international law, all of which impact state sovereignty and national choices.
He added that it is essential for everyone to raise awareness with high professionalism and insightful proactivity regarding the profound geopolitical changes occurring globally, particularly their repercussions on the countries of the Global South.
The General also congratulated all members of the People’s National Army on the 64th anniversary of Victory Day, describing it as an eternal historical milestone that recalls the great victory over the colonizer, achieved through the sacrifices of millions of Algerian men and women.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Land Forces, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, the commanders of the forces, the Republican Guard, and the National Gendarmerie, as well as the Director of the Cabinet at the Ministry of National Defense, the Commander of the First Military Region, department heads, the General Comptroller of the Army, and directors and heads of central services at the Ministry of National Defense and the Staff of the People’s National Army.
