General Saïd Chengriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, emphasized the necessity of understanding the implications of the rapid geopolitical transformations currently shaping the international landscape.
Speaking during a ceremony at the Ministry of National Defense to mark Eid al-Fitr, the General stated that the rapid and dangerous geopolitical shifts in the current international situation are characterized by the return of military options and interventions, the declining influence of multilateral organizations, and the disregard for international law, which impacts state sovereignty and national choices.
He added that it is essential for everyone to raise awareness with high professionalism and proactive insight regarding the profound geopolitical changes occurring globally, particularly their repercussions on the Global South.
The General also congratulated all members of the People’s National Army on the 64th anniversary of Victory Day, describing it as an eternal historical milestone that recalls the great victory over brutal colonialism, achieved through the sacrifices of millions of Algerian men and women.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Land Forces, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, commanders of the various forces, the Republican Guard, and the National Gendarmerie, along with the Director of the Cabinet at the Ministry of National Defense, the Commander of the First Military Region, and various department heads and senior officials from the Ministry and the Army Staff.
