Prime Minister chairs the proceedings of the Algerian-Nigerien Grand Joint Commission for Cooperation

Prime Minister Saifi Gharib arrived this afternoon at the Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Center in Niamey, Republic of Niger.

According to the Prime Minister’s office, Saifi Gharib will co-chair with his Nigerien counterpart, Ali Lamine Zeine Mehmane, the proceedings of the second session of the Algerian-Nigerien Grand Joint Commission for Cooperation, scheduled for March 23 and 24, 2026.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a significant ministerial delegation including several government members and senior officials. This session will address a range of files of common interest, particularly in the fields of economy, energy, security, transport, health, finance, and infrastructure.

The session aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and intensify coordination on regional issues, serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples and contributing to supporting stability and development in the region.
