Last week, members of the anti-illicit drug and psychotropic substance trafficking squad of the El Oued provincial security services dismantled an organized criminal network active in the illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances.
According to a police statement, 180,000 capsules of the psychotropic substance Pregabalin were seized, and two members of the network were arrested.
The operation was carried out following the exploitation of information regarding the use of a house under construction in the El Oued province to store significant quantities of psychotropic substances for later distribution.
Consequently, the suspected residence was raided under the supervision of the competent prosecution, where the aforementioned quantity of psychotropic substances was seized and two members of the criminal network were apprehended.
The two suspects were presented before the public prosecutor at the El Oued court.
