President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a message of condolence today from the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssef, in which he expressed his deep sadness over the passing of former President and Mujahid Liamine Zéroual.
The Chairperson of the Commission extended his deepest condolences to the Algerian government and people, as well as to the family of the late president, emphasizing the African Union Commission’s solidarity with the Algerian nation on this sad occasion.
He also praised the qualities and virtues of the deceased, characterized by sacrifice and dignity, noting his ability to lead the country through a critical stage of its history with courage and wisdom.
