The National Meteorological Office announced the continuation of heavy rainfall across several provinces of the country. In a warning issued on Wednesday, the office cautioned against thunderstorms with quantities potentially exceeding 40 mm until 9:00 PM in the provinces of In Salah, Illizi, and Ouargla.
A special bulletin also warned of thunderstorms with amounts that may exceed 50 mm until 6:00 PM today in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Setif, Mila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Constantine, Guelma, and Souk Ahras.
In another alert, the meteorological office warned of thunderstorms exceeding 40 mm until 6:00 PM today in the provinces of Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Bouira, Medea, Blida, and Ain Defla.
The same services predicted heavy snowfall on mountain peaks exceeding 1,000 meters in altitude, with thickness potentially exceeding 25 cm until 6:00 PM today, in the provinces of Blida, Medea, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Setif, and Bordj Bou Arreridj.
Additionally, the meteorological services expected snowfall on heights exceeding 1,000 meters with a thickness of up to 15 cm until noon today in the provinces of Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Khenchela, and Tebessa.
