The National Meteorological Office has warned of heavy thunderstorms in the central and eastern provinces of the country.
In an alert issued on Thursday, the office reported thunderstorms in the provinces of El Tarf, Annaba, Skikda, Jijel, Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes, Algiers, Tipaza, Ain Defla, Medea, Blida, and Bouira.
The alert also covers the provinces of Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, and Souk Ahras.
