Mesloug: We Are Working to Provide Appropriate Conditions for the Development of Refereeing

The ordinary general assembly of the Professional Football League was held on Thursday at the National Army Club in Beni Messous, chaired by its president, Amine Mesloug, and attended by the Secretary General of the Algerian Football Federation, Amine Bouznad.

In a press statement on the sidelines of the meeting, Mesloug confirmed that the National Refereeing Committee has made significant progress in training and support, highlighting the presence of “young referees in this field who must be supported.”

He added: “The issue of refereeing was not raised by the presidents of professional clubs. While there may be some shortcomings, the League is working, with the continuous support of the Algerian Football Federation, to provide the appropriate conditions to develop and improve refereeing in the national championship.”

Most presidents and representatives of professional clubs participated in the proceedings of this ordinary general assembly of the Professional League.

The start of the assembly’s proceedings also included a minute of silence in memory of the former President of the Republic, Liamine Zéroual.
