Roads closed due to weather fluctuations

Several provinces across the country witnessed traffic disruptions following recent weather fluctuations that led to snow accumulation and rising water levels. According to the National Gendarmerie services, heavy snow caused the closure of several roads connecting the provinces of Bouira and Tizi Ouzou.

The closures included National Road No. 15 in the Faj and Col Tirourda areas, National Road No. 33 at the levels of Asoul, La Koukar, and Tikjda, and National Road No. 30 in the Tizi N’Kouilal area in the municipality of Saharidj.

In Blida province, rising water levels led to the closure of Provincial Road No. 110, which connects to Tipaza province, at the level of Ben Khelil municipality. Additionally, Mila province recorded the closure of Provincial Road No. 135A connecting to Jijel province at the level of Teraï Baïnen municipality due to a landslide.

These weather conditions resulted in a temporary paralysis of these routes, while the remaining roads remain open to traffic.
