National Cohesion is the Real Shield to Confront the Logic of Force

Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the El Binaa Movement, emphasized that national cohesion is the true shield for confronting the “logic of force” and the dangerous international transformations threatening state sovereignty.

During a political seminar titled “Strategic Vigilance and National Cohesion: Pillars of State Stability and Sovereignty Maintenance” held at the movement’s headquarters, Bengrina addressed the most prominent challenges facing the national state amid the erosion of international law’s prestige and the emergence of armed conflict as a means to resolve political disputes.

Bengrina stated that “the unity of any nation lies in the unity of its ideas, identity, principles, and institutions, as well as its pride in its history and its aspiration toward a common destiny.”

He also highlighted the danger of “identity conflict,” asserting that “any conflict over identity means dismantling the social fabric and destabilizing harmony within a single nation,” citing the impact of the Arab Spring on several Arab countries as an example.

Bengrina stressed that Algeria was founded on noble principles established by the November 1st Declaration, which include non-interference in the affairs of others, non-alignment, support for just causes, and the right of peoples to self-determination.
