Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, presided over the installation ceremony of the Steering Council for the Algerian Export Authority on Monday at the ministry’s headquarters.
During the ceremony, the Minister stated that the establishment of the council reflects the directives of the country’s senior leadership aimed at developing the national export framework.
Rezig highlighted the council’s crucial role in supporting economic diversification by defining strategic directions to boost the presence of Algerian products in international markets, enhancing competitiveness, and strengthening the capacity of national exporting enterprises.
The Minister urged council members to adopt a collaborative approach and propose practical initiatives to address challenges facing exporters while improving coordination among various foreign trade entities.
He concluded by stressing the importance of collective efforts to achieve targets for promoting non-hydrocarbon exports, in line with the President’s instructions.
