Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, Saïd Saayoud, received on Monday evening the Mauritanian Minister of Equipment and Transport, Ely Sid’Ahmed El-Feirack, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by the CEO of Air Algérie and the CEO of the National Civil Aviation Agency, on the occasion of the 20th session of the Algerian-Mauritanian Grand Joint Commission for Cooperation.
This meeting served as an opportunity to enhance consultation and intensify coordination between the two countries in various transport sectors. Both parties emphasized their commitment to promoting bilateral cooperation in air, sea, and land transport by supporting partnerships between national institutions and companies, improving connectivity, and facilitating exchanges, reflecting a shared desire to elevate bilateral relations to broader levels.
The importance of continuing joint work through an integrated approach based on the exchange of expertise and the activation of coordination mechanisms was also highlighted. This aims to open promising horizons for implementing joint projects that serve the interests of both nations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their determination to strengthen the dynamics of bilateral cooperation, consolidating the deep fraternal ties between Algeria and Mauritania.
