Algeria is pushing forward with its ambitious digitalization agenda as Energy and Renewable Energies Minister Murad Ajjal met with High Commissioner for Digitalization Meriem Ben Mouloud in a high-level working session aimed at expanding innovative digital solutions across all government sectors.
The meeting focused on scaling the SMsing digital platform — already successfully deployed by national energy giant Sonelgaz — to all ministerial departments. The solution enables real-time secure internal messaging, dramatically accelerating information processing and decision-making at the highest levels.
Minister Ajjal told dzwatch that Sonelgaz’s expertise in digitalization represents a national model worth replicating, praising the company’s specialists for their outstanding capabilities in developing robust, secure information systems.
Commissioner Ben Mouloud highlighted the platform’s proven effectiveness, noting that instant access to sector-specific data through secured channels directly improves public service delivery for Algerian citizens across all fields.
The initiative follows directives from Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, underscoring Algeria’s firm commitment to building a fully digital, efficient state apparatus.
