Pope Leo XIV continues his landmark official visit to Algeria, hosted by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with a packed second-day program centered on the historic city of Annaba.
The Pontiff is set to arrive at Rabah Bitat Airport at 10:30 AM, before heading to the ancient Roman archaeological site of Hippo Regius at 11:00 AM — the very city where Saint Augustine lived and taught.
At 11:35 AM, Pope Leo XIV will visit the elderly care home run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, followed by a private meeting at 12:10 PM with members of the Augustinian monastic order at their community headquarters.
The spiritual highlight of the day comes at 3:30 PM, when the Pope will preside over a solemn Mass at the Church of Saint Augustine in Annaba.
The visit concludes at 6:00 PM, as Pope Leo XIV departs Rabah Bitat Airport, returning to Algiers.
