Algeria’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, received on Monday the African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Bankole Adeoye, in the presence of Ministry Secretary-General Lounas Magramane.
The meeting, exclusively confirmed to dzwatch, addressed the latest political and security developments across the African continent, while reviewing the deep cooperation ties binding Algeria to the AU Commission in strengthening African peace and security mechanisms.
Both sides reaffirmed Algeria’s central and leading role at both regional and continental levels in advancing joint African action to confront security challenges and forge African-led solutions to African problems.
