Algeria’s RND Party Hosts Senior Chinese Communist Party Delegation, Pledges Deeper Strategic Partnership

The Secretary-General of Algeria’s National Democratic Rally (RND), Muandhar Bouден, received this Wednesday at the party’s headquarters in Algiers a high-level delegation from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), led by Jin Xin, Deputy Minister of International Relations, accompanied by China’s Ambassador to Algeria, Dong Guangli.

Both sides reaffirmed the deep historical ties between Algeria and China, notably Algeria’s pivotal diplomatic role in restoring China’s United Nations seat in 1971. Bouden proposed a bilateral cooperation agreement to strengthen exchanges, particularly among youth and women’s organizations, and called for a joint Algeria-hosted conference on Chinese-African relations.

The RND chief stressed the need for greater coordination between the two nations on global challenges, especially in the Middle East, rejecting foreign interference and hegemonic policies while upholding international law.

The Chinese delegation praised Algeria’s steadfast positions on just causes and confirmed Beijing’s commitment to expanding partnership into new sectors, including energy and renewables. President Xi Jinping’s four global initiatives — security, development, civilization, and governance — were also discussed as frameworks for multilateral cooperation.

Both parties concluded by reaffirming their joint commitment to advancing bilateral coordination in service of their peoples and global peace.
