Pope Leo XIV has addressed a formal message of thanks and deep gratitude to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Algerian people following his historic visit to Algeria.
In the message, the Pontiff stated exclusively: “As I depart the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, I express my profound gratitude to Your Excellency and to the Algerian people, who hold a special place in my heart, for the warm welcome and hospitality I received during my visit.”
He added: “With prayerful confidence, I invoke upon the nation divine blessings, peace, and joy.”
