Algeria Boosts Public Transport: Algiers Receives 102 New Buses in Major Fleet Renewal Drive

The Public Urban and Suburban Transport Corporation of Algiers, ETUSA, received Wednesday a new batch of buses as part of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s ambitious directive to renew Algeria’s national fleet with 10,000 new buses.

The latest delivery comprises 102 buses — including 32 high-capacity coaches accommodating up to 100 passengers and 70 standard buses with 37 seats — drawn from a total allocation of 320 vehicles manufactured by the Rouiba Automotive Industry Development Corporation, operating under the Directorate of Military Industries.

The initiative reflects the government’s firm commitment to modernizing public services and ensuring citizens enjoy safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation. Deliveries are ongoing across Algeria’s wilayas, with authorities aiming to achieve nationwide coverage and significantly elevate the standard of public mobility throughout the country.
