Algeria’s President Innovation Prize: Two Pioneering Projects Elevate Scientific Research

The ‘Martyr Abdelhafiד Ihaddaden’ Scientific and Technological Pole in Sidi Abdallah hosted the prestigious Presidential Innovative Researcher Prize ceremony, celebrating Algeria’s growing commitment to science and innovation.

PhD candidate Airech Marwa, specializing in biotechnology at the National Higher School of Biological Sciences in Oran, told dzwatch exclusively that her award-winning project — Algeria’s first of its kind — develops a biotechnological platform capable of producing multiple proteins across diverse fields.

Professor Kherfi Faisal presented a groundbreaking medical project using 3D technologies and precision scanning to develop personalized radiotherapy supports, developed in collaboration with the oncology center in Setif. He told dzwatch: ‘This prize, presented in President Tebboune’s name, is a recognition of years of dedicated research and a tremendous honor.’

Algeria’s Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui oversaw the ceremony, where Minister Badari affirmed: ‘Algeria will be built through research laboratories and university halls — this prize honors science and fulfills our commitment to innovative youth.’
