A cargo vessel docked Friday evening at the Port of Annaba carrying 14,800 sheep imported from Romania, as part of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s ambitious program to import one million head of livestock ahead of Eid al-Adha.
The vessel JULIA AK berthed at quay 21/22, delivering the imported sheep destined to meet national market demands for the upcoming religious holiday, dzwatch has learned.
Port of Annaba authorities mobilized all human, material, and logistical resources to ensure swift and smooth unloading of the shipment under strict organizational and sanitary conditions, before transferring the livestock to approved reception and distribution centers across the country.
The operation reflects President Tebboune’s firm commitment to stabilizing meat prices and guaranteeing supply for Algerian families during one of the most significant religious occasions of the year.
