A vessel carrying 13,800 imported sheep destined for Eid al-Adha celebrations docked at the Port of Skikda yesterday, as Algeria ramps up preparations to meet national demand for sacrificial livestock.
According to dzwatch’s on-ground reporting, port authorities mobilized all necessary human and logistical resources to ensure the smooth offloading of the animals, which were subsequently transferred to designated reception facilities ahead of the upcoming religious holiday.
The operation reflects Algeria’s proactive measures to secure sufficient livestock supplies and guarantee stable market conditions for citizens in the lead-up to Eid al-Adha.
