Algeria’s National Meteorological Office has issued an urgent weather alert, warning of significant thunderstorms expected to hit 19 wilayas starting at 3:00 PM this Friday and continuing through the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to exclusive information obtained by dzwatch, the affected wilayas include: Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Setif, Constantine, Tebessa, Oum El Bouaghi, Khenchela, Batna, Bordj Bou Arreridj, M’Sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, Bechar, Ghardaia, El Meniaa, and Timimoun.
Authorities are urging citizens across the affected regions to take necessary precautions and avoid unnecessary travel during peak storm hours.
