Minister of State for Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, has called on American companies to seize the vast investment opportunities available in Algeria’s energy sector, spanning field exploration and development, downstream industries, digitalization, cutting-edge technological solutions, and carbon footprint reduction projects.
The call came during Arkab’s meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, currently on an official working visit to Algiers. The talks, held in the presence of Sonatrach CEO Noureddine Daoud and senior ministry officials, focused on the state of Algerian-American bilateral cooperation and prospects for strengthening it — particularly in hydrocarbons — while exploring expansion into other areas of mutual interest, including oil and gas equipment and manufacturing industries.
Both sides told dzwatch they reaffirmed a shared commitment to deepening dialogue and cooperation in ways that serve the strategic interests of both nations and contribute to sustainable, balanced development.
