Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has directed the immediate execution of two key sections of the Trans-Sahara Highway and the construction of a cement factory in Chad, following a Council of Ministers meeting he chaired this Sunday.
According to exclusive details obtained by dzwatch, President Tebboune stressed the need to strengthen all areas of cooperation with brotherly Chad, including energy, electricity generation, and oil exploration.
He ordered the urgent construction of a cement plant with a production capacity exceeding one million tons annually, alongside an immediate directive for Algerian firms to undertake two remaining sections of the Trans-Sahara Highway on Chadian territory — a move aimed at significantly boosting bilateral trade and economic exchanges between the two nations.
