Algeria’s Ministry of Finance has issued an official circular authorizing the early disbursement of second-quarter 2026 performance bonuses for all public sector employees ahead of Eid Al-Adha.
The circular stated: “In execution of the Finance Minister’s directives, we are pleased to inform you that exceptional authorization has been granted to disburse the performance bonus and all similar allowances for the second quarter of 2026 before Eid Al-Adha, for the benefit of employees within public administrations and institutions.”
The decision comes in direct response to widespread demands from civil servants, and is aimed at helping Algerian families cover Eid Al-Adha expenses, particularly the purchase of sacrificial animals.
