Today, Sunday, the Ministers of Industry, Post, and Trade, along with the President of the Economic Renewal Council, met with mobile phone operators to discuss the mobile phone market in Algeria.
The meeting included discussions on the establishment of locally manufactured smartphones and the protection of their systems with the participation of mobile phone operators.
This initiative aims to create job opportunities, combat the parallel market, and reduce the import bill.
In this regard, Minister of Post Karim Bibi Triki expressed the government’s aspiration to regulate the mobile phone market with priority given to local industry.
